How it's done ## Inside a proper furniture refinish. Furniture is where preparation matters most, pieces are looked at up close, often in daylight, and any shortcut shows. Handles, hinges, drawer runners and glass are removed and bagged with reference photographs. ### Strip, fill, sand Old wax and silicone are removed (the silent killer of refinishing jobs). Dents and chips are filled with two-pack filler. Surfaces are sanded through grits to give the primer a true mechanical key. ### Substrate-appropriate primer Solid wood, MDF, veneer, melamine and foil each require a different primer system. We carry all four and select on the piece. ### Sprayed in colour and sheen of choice RAL, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, designer brief or a matched chip, sprayed in matte, satin, semi-gloss or gloss. ### Reassembly and protection Hardware refitted, soft-close adjusted, glass re-set, and pieces wrapped for delivery or refitted in your home with felt-pad protection.
